Steps
- Measure one shot into an iced wine glass.
- Top with soda water.
- Squeeze the grapefruit peel over the surface so the oils land on the drink, then drop it in.
Why it works
Two milligrams is small enough that most people feel almost nothing, and that is the point of it. If you have never had one of these, this is the drink that tells you how you respond without committing you to an evening. It is also a genuinely good highball, which matters, because a starter drink nobody enjoys does not get finished slowly.
